SEC Baseball Week 8 Power Rankings: Missouri and Kentucky Rise, Florida Falls

Another week through college baseball. Let's take a look at my week eight SEC baseball power rankings.

We are now through eight weeks of college baseball. Multiple upsets occured, making big changes in this weeks power rankings. Let's take a look at where each SEC baseball team lands in this weeks power rankings.

All records and rankings are as of April 7th. Top 25 rankings are from D1Baseball.

Number 14: Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers a decent week, but ultimately dropped to last in the rankings. Last week, the Tigers went 2-2 to make their overall record 18-13, with a 2-10 conference record.

Last week, the Tigers got a midweek win over UAB with a final score of 10-4. Over the weekend, Auburn lost two out of three to Tennessee.

Number 13: Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels went winless this week resulting in their drop. Their record on the season sits at 18-15, with a 3-9 conference record.

Last week, the Rebels lost their midweek contest against Memphis with a final score of 9-4. Over the weekend, Ole Miss got swept by Arkansas in three games.

Number 12: Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers went 5-0 last week to move them up in the power rankings. Their overall record improved to 15-18, with a 4-8 conference record.

Last week, the Tigers won two midweek games against UT Martin. Over the weekend, Missouri swept the sixth ranked Florida Gators in a three game series.

Number 11: #18 LSU Tigers

The LSU Tigers struggled this week by going 1-3. This made their record on the season 21-12, with a 3-9 conference record.

Last week, the Tigers lost to Southern in a midweek game with a final score of 12-7. Over the weekend, LSU lost two out of three against Vanderbilt.

Number 10: #13 Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide had a tough week, going 1-3. This made their record on the season 22-10, with a 4-8 conference record.

Last week, the Crimson Tide won a midweek game against Samford, 11-10. Over the weekend, Alabama got swept by Kentucky in a three game series.

Number 9: Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs had a decent week by going 2-2. This made their record on the season 24-8, with a 5-7 conference record.

Last week, the Bulldogs got a midweek victory over Georgia State with a final score of 10-1. Over the weekend, Georgia lost two out of three against Mississippi State.

Number 8: #23 Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs had a decent week as they went 2-2. This made their record on the season 21-12, with a 6-6 conference record.

Last week, the Bulldogs lost a midweek game against Central Arkansas, 7-6. Over the weekend, Mississippi State won two out of three games against Georgia.

Number 7: #22 South Carolina Gamecocks

The South Carolina Gamecocks struggled last week and went 1-3. This dropped their overall record on the season to 22-10, with a 6-6 conference record.

Last week, the Gamecocks lost their midweek game against Georgia Southern with a final score of 8-0. Over the weekend, South Carolina lost two out of three to Texas A&M.

Number 6: #6 Florida Gators

The Florida Gators continued to struggle as they went 1-3 this week. This dropped their overall record to 17-14, with a 6-6 conference record.

Last week, the Gators won their midweek matchup against Florida A&M, 10-7. Over the weekend, Florida got swept by Missouri in a three game series.

Number 5: #4 Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Volunteers had a solid week by going 2-1. This made their record on the season 26-6, with a 7-5 conference record.

Last week, the Volunteers had no midweek game, but was able to win two out of three against Ole Miss.

Number 4: #7 Vanderbilt Commodores

The Vanderbilt Commodores had a solid week where they went 2-1. This improved their overall record 25-7, with an 8-4 conference record.

Last week, the Commodores had their midweek game cancelled, but won two out of three games against LSU.

Number 3: #3 Texas A&M Aggies

The Texas A&M Aggies had a solid week by going 3-1. This improved their record to 28-4, with a conference record of 8-4.

Last week, the Aggies won their midweek matchup against Texas State with a final score of 12-2. Over the weekend, Texas A&M won two out of three games against South Carolina.

Number 2: #17 Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats continued their great season by going 3-0. This improved their overall record to 27-4, with an 11-1 conference record.

Last week, the Wildcats had their midweek contest cancelled. Over the weekend, Kentucky swept Alabama in a three game series.

Number 1: #1 Arkansas Razorbacks

The Arkansas Razorbacks continued their dominance on the season by going 4-0. This improved their overall record to 27-3, with an 11-1 conference record.

Last week, the Razorbacks got a midweek victory against Arkansas State with a final score of 13-0. Over the weekend, Arkansas swept Ole Miss in a three game series.
