College baseball is now through three weeks of games. Let's take a look at my week three SEC power rankings.
Records and rankings are as of March 3rd. Top 25 rankings are also from D1Baseball.
Number 14: Missouri Tigers
The Missouri Tigers are off to slow start this season with a record of 5-6.
Last week, the Tigers played four games at home. In the middle of the week, they played agaisnt Southeast Missouri and lost 8-3. Over the weekend, they hosted Northern Kentucky and lost the three game series.
Number 13: Ole Miss Rebels
The Ole Miss Rebels are off to a solid start to the season with a record of 8-5.
Last week, the Rebels played four games at home. In the middle of the week, they played against Missouri State and won 12-3. Over the weekend, they hosted Iowa and won the three game series.
Number 12: Mississippi State Bulldogs
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are hot right now as their record sits at 8-4.
Riding a five game win streak, the Bulldogs played four games at home last week. They started off with a midweek matchup against Jackson State and won 19-6. Over the weekend, they hosted Mount St. Marys and swept them in three games.
Number 11: South Carolina Gamecocks
The South Carolina Gamecocks had a tough weekend, but continue to possess a record of 8-3.
Last week, the Gamecocks played three games which included a big ranked matchup. They won their midweek matchup against Gardner-Webb 7-1. Over the weekend, they lost two games to tenth ranked Clemson. Game one of that series got rained out.
Number 10: Auburn Tigers
The Auburn Tigers entered the top 25 last week, ranked 23rd. They hold a record of 9-2.
Last week, the Tigers played four games at home. During their midweek matchup against Samford, Auburn took a 12-3 victory. Over the weekend, they were able to win a three game series against UConn.
Number 9: Kentucky Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats are knocking on the door of being ranked with a record of 10-1.
Last week, the Wildcats won all four games that they played. During their midweek matchup against Western Kentucky, the Wildcats took a 5-0 victory. Over the weekend, they swept Lipscomb in three games.
Number 8: Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs continued their hot start to the season by extending their record to 10-1.
Last week, the Bulldogs extended their push to become ranked with a big instate series sweep. In the midweek matchup against Michigan State, Georgia lost 19-6. Over the weekend against Georgia Tech, they swept them in two games despite game one being rained out.
Number 7: Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide continued to their impressive start to the season by extending their record to 11-1.
Last week, the Crimson Tide picked up a ranked victory, but also lost a ranked matchup. In Alabama's midweek matchup against UAB, the Crimson Tide picked up a 9-7 victory. Over the weekend, they won two games in the Frisco Classic which included a ranked win over Indiana.
Number 6: Florida Gators
The Florida Gators continued their solid start to the season with a record of 8-3.
Last week, the Gators picked up three wins included two big in-state victories. The Gators lost to Stetson on Tuesday, but won against Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday. Over the weekend, Florida won the series against Miami.
Number 5: Vanderbilt Commodores
The Vanderbilt Commodores had a great week, extending their record to 10-3.
Last week, the Commodores won five games, including a big ranked win. In the midweek matchups, Vanderbilt blew out Indiana State and beat Evansville. The Commodores won three more games in the 2024 Astros Foundation College Classic, which included a ranked win against Texas.
Number 4: Tennessee Volunteers
The Tennessee Volunteers continue to stay hot, making their record 11-1.
Last week, the Volunteers won four games at home. During the midweek, they got a close victory against High Point. Over the weekend, the Volunteers got swept Bowling Green with run rule victories in each game.
Number 3: Arkansas Razorbacks
The Arkansas Razorbacks had another good week, extending their record to 9-2.
Last week, the Razorbacks won four games at home. During the midweek, they blewout Grambling with a final score of 21-1. Over the weekend, the Razorbacks swept Murray State in three games.
Number 2: Louisiana State Tigers
The Louisiana State Tigers had a tough week, but stayed hot to make their record 11-1.
Last week, the Tigers won the Astros Foundation Classic with some big wins. In their midweek matchup, LSU dominated Rice, 16-4. In the tournament, the Tigers got three more victories, including a ranked win over Texas.
Number 1: Texas A&M Aggies
The Texas A&M Aggies are the only SEC team to remain undefeated with a record of 11-0.
Last week, the Aggies extended their undefeated season with four wins. In their midweek matchup, the Aggies beat Lamar 13-2. Over the weekend, they won three games in the Globe Life Field Series which included two wins over Arizona State.
