2. LSU Tigers 15-1 (2-0)

Last year's champion continues to prove itself after its embarrassing loss against Colorado to start the season. This week, it won thanks to great performances from younger players, a scary look at the future of the team and the conference. The big day on LSU's calendar is January 25th when they welcome South Carolina into Baton Rouge and get their one big chance to climb back to the top of the rankings.

This week the Tigers face 13-2 Texas A&M at home and 11-4 Auburn on the road.

1. South Carolina Gamecocks 14-0 (2-0)

They are the best team in the country, having gone undefeated all the way up to now with five players all averaging double-digit points, combining for 90 points per game as a team while only allowing 52. South Carolina has been great for years, and it continues to be one of the best, most complete teams in the country in 2024.

This week the Gamecocks face 9-6 Missouri on the road and 8-8 Kentucky at home.
