4. Auburn Tigers
Previous Ranking: 6
Rising two spots into the top five this week are the Auburn Tigers, who jump from No. 6 to No. 4. After a 5-1 start to the year, the Tigers would fall on the road at Appalachian State, but have bounced back with six-straight victories against Indiana, UNC Asheville, USC, Alabama State, Chattanooga, and Pennsylvania to enter SEC play riding a six-game winning streak.
Now sitting at 11-2 overall, Auburn will begin SEC play Saturday on the road at Arkansas. The Tigers will also host Texas A&M and LSU next week.
3. Texas A&M Aggies
Previous Ranking: 2
Dropping a spot from No. 2 to No. 3 are the Texas A&M Aggies, who have dropped two games since our previous update. After a 6-2 start to the year, Texas A&M has since picked up three victories over DePaul, Houston Christian, and Prairie View, but have also fallen to Memphis and Houston.
Now sitting at 9-4 overall, Texas A&M will open SEC play Saturday against LSU. The Aggies will also travel to Auburn next week, as well as host Kentucky.
