Baker improved the Tigers' defense to 56th in that category in 2022, and again to 25th in 2023.
Due to his success, Baker was given a pay raise and the same position at a more prestigious SEC school -- the LSU Tigers -- where head coach Brian Kelly made him the highest-paid assistant coach in the country at $2.5 million annually.
If the LSU defense improves like the Missouri defense did, Baker could be on some head coaching short lists very quickly around the country.
