Glenn Schumann is probably the most popular name on the list, having served under both Kirby Smart and Nick Saban.

Schumann began his coaching career from 2008-2014 serving under both Saban and smart before following Smart to the University of Georgia in 2016 where he has been promoted up through and is currently the defensive coordinator; a role he has had since 2021.

Inevitably, Schumann will leave the Bulldogs at some point for a head coaching gig. The only question here is how prestigious will the first gig be? You will have many teams hoping to re-create what Georgia did with Kirby Smart to put their team on the mountain top for the long term.
