SEC Football: Ranking the top 10 transfers for 2024
8. Amari Niblack (TE, Texas)
Niblack was not used as much as he should have been during his time in Tuscaloosa. And with Sarkisian’s ability to maximize talent on offense, look for Niblack to shine for the Longhorns in 2024.
Niblack caught 20 passes for 347 yards and four touchdowns in 2023 but it did seem that his talent was not maximized under offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and first year starting quarterback Jalen Milroe who was just struggling to stay upright.
With a mammoth left tackle in Kelvin Banks Jr. who projects to go top ten in the NFL Draft and a returning starting quarterback in Quinn Ewers, Niblack is set up for success with the Longhorns in 2024. He picked a great situation to transfer into.
7. Parker Brailsford (IOL, Alabama)
Brailsford was part of the offensive line for the Washington Huskies last year that won the Joe Moore award, which is awarded to the best offensive line in the country. Brailsford will take over at center for the Crimson Tide who could hardly get a snap to the quarterback in 2023.
The experienced center will be a welcomed addition to the Tide and first year head coach Kalen DeBoer. As a whole, the Tide return three starters on the offensive line, but center was the largest question mark in 2023. And as the captain of the offensive line, Brailsford is a very underrated addition.
Brailsford is part of a now experienced Tide offensive line that could be the reason quarterback Jalen Milroe wins the Heisman Trophy https://southboundanddown.com/posts/six-reasons-jalen-milroe-will-win-the-heisman-trophy-in-2024-01j3612mee0k in 2024.
