Headlined by multiple prominent names entering the transfer portal, here are a few things that you need to know from across the SEC on Tuesday, January 2.

Texas A&M DB Tony Grimes enters transfer portal

Having previously transferred from North Carolina prior to the 2023 season, Texas A&M defensive back Tony Grimes has entered the transfer portal. A former five-star prospect from the 2020 class, Grimes did not record any stats with the Aggies this past season.

LSU OT Lance Heard enters transfer portal

LSU true freshman offensive tackle Lance Heard has entered the transfer portal after one season in Baton Rouge. Heard was the highest-rated commit in LSU's 2023 class, rated as a five-star prospect out of in-state Neville High School in Louisiana.

Texas A&M LB Jurriente Davis enters transfer portal

Texas A&M linebacker Jurriente Davis has entered the transfer portal after one season in College Station. Davis, who transferred to Texas A&M from Jackson State prior to this past season, had six tackles during the 2023 campaign.

Texas A&M transfer WR Jordan Anthony commits to Arkansas

After transferring from Kentucky last offseason, Texas A&M transfer wide receiver Jordan Anthony has now committed to Arkansas after spending one season in College Station. Anthony had three receptions for 14 yards, as well as one rush for two yards, this past season.

Tennessee WR Bru McCoy to return for 2024 season

Tennessee wide receiver Bru McCoy has announced that he will return to Knoxville for the 2024 season. The former USC transfer has a combined 69 receptions for 884 yards and five touchdowns across the last two seasons at Tennessee, and is coming off a season in which he had 17 receptions for 217 yards and a touchdown prior to suffering an injury.

South Carolina LB Grayson Howard enters transfer portal

South Carolina linebacker Grayson Howard has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Gamecocks. Howard had 19 tackles, one TFL, and one FF this past season as a freshman.
