SEC Player of the Year Award Power Rankings
2. 1B/LHP Jac Caglianone (Florida)
last week's ranking: 2
While Florida was out here flipping their usual format of losing mid-weeks and winning on the weekends into winning their mid-week and losing on the weekend, Cags went 6/15 at the plate with 3 HR, 5 RBI, and 6 runs. He did get roughed up a bit on the mound however, as he gave up 6 runs in 1 1/3 innings.
Overall for the year, Caglianone is now hitting .391 (5th in SEC) with a .480 OBP and a .781 SLG (1.261 OPS) with 16 HR (3rd in SEC), 2 doubles, 34 RBI, and 35 runs. On the mound, he has a 3-0 record with a 3.67 ERA to go with 44 K's, 25 BB, and a .183 Batting Average Against (4th in SEC) in 34 1/3 IP across 7 starts
Florida will battle South Carolina this weekend.
1. OF/3B Charlie Condon (Georgia)
last week's ranking: 1
It was not the week we are used to seeing from Condon (3-for-17, one HR, 2 RBI, and 2 runs), but his numbers remain incredible and he stays at 1 because he had built up a buffer.
Overall, Condon still leads the entire nation in Home Runs (20), Slugging Percentage (1.067), and total bases (128). He also still leads the SEC in Batting Average (.458) and On-Base Percentage (.570). Along with those, he also has 11 doubles, one triple, 42 RBI (5th in SEC), and 43 runs (4th in SEC) on the year.
This upcoming weekend, Georgia will take on Missouri, with the series beginning on Thursday.
