Number 4: Florida Gators

The Florida Gators are having a solid start to the season despite losing their opening game to St. Johns. They currently have a record of 5-1.

The Gators stayed put as the fourth ranked team in the country after two midweek wins against North Florida and a sweep of Columbia over the weekend.

Florida was in the drivers seat for the series against Columbia. Game one was a blowout win for the Gators as they won 15-6. Game two was close as the final score was 7-3. Game three started out as a blowout, but Columbia added a few runs to make a final score of 12-5.

Jac Caglianone is off to a hot start at the plate, but not so much on the mound. So far, Caglianone has a batting average of .545 with one home run and eight runs batted in. On the mound, he made his first start in game three of the series with Columbia and struggled in three innings.

This week, Florida faces off against Stetson and Bethune-Cookman during the week. Over the weekend, the Gators play against the Miami Hurricanes for a three game series.
