Number 20: South Carolina Gamecocks

The South Carolina Gamecocks moved up a spot in the top 25 rankings after going 5-0 last week to improve their record to 13-3.

Last week, the Gamecocks got two solid wins during the midweek against The Citadel and Davidson. Over the weekend, South Carolina matched up against Longwood and swept them in three games.

Dylan Brewer has been the best hitter for the Gamecocks so far. Through 16 games, Brewer has a batting average of .415 with two home runs and 14 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.153, which includes an on-base percentage of .549 and a slugging percentage of .604.

Eli Jones has been an elite starter for South Carolina and is building a good resume for the MLB draft this summer. Through four starts, Jones has a 1.40 earned run average in 19.1 innings pitched with 17 strikeouts.

This week, the Gamecocks play Georgia State in their midweek matchup and travel to Ole Miss for their weekend series.
