Number 14: Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide moved up one spot in this weeks rankings. Last week, the Crimson Tide went 4-0 to improve their overall record to 15-1.

Last week, the Crimson Tide began their week with an 8-7 victory over Troy. Over the weekend, Alabama swept Lipscomb in a three game series.

Gage Miller has been the best hitter for the Crimson Tide so far this season. Through 16 games, Miller has a batting average of .460 with eight home runs and 24 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.453, which includes an on-base percentage of .532 and a slugging percentage of .921.

Ben Hess has been the ace for Alabama to begin the season. Through four starts, Hess has an earned run average of 2.65 in 17 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts.

This week, Alabama travels to Southern Mississippi for their midweek contest before hosting Tennessee for their weekend series.
