Number 9: Vanderbilt Commodores

The Vanderbilt Commodores are riding a nine game win streak, but that kept them at nine in this weeks rankings. Their overall record currently sits at 14-3.

Last week, the Commodores hosted Eastern Michigan for their midweek matchup and won 6-2. Over the weekend, Vanderbilt swept Illinois State in a three game series.

Troy LaNeve has been the best overall hitter for the Commodores. In 17 games, LaNeve has a batting average of .333 with three home runs and 19 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.203, which includes an on-base percentage of .478 and a slugging percentage of .725.

Bryce Cunningham has been the most consistent arm in the Vanderbilt rotation. Through four starts, Cunningham has an earned run average of 2.61 in 20.2 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts.

This week, the Commodores play four games at home, which includes a midweek matchup against Indiana and a three game series against Auburn over the weekend.
