Number 2: Louisiana State Tigers

The Louisiana State Tigers went 3-1 last week to move up from the third spot to the second spot in the rankings. Their overall record sits at 14-2.

Last week, the Tigers faced off against Southeatern Louisiana in their midweek contest and won 4-3. Over the weekend, LSU took on Xavier for a three game series and won two out of three.

Hayden Travinski has been the best hitter overall for LSU so far this season. Through 16 games, Travinski has a batting average of .333 with three home runs and 18 runs batted in. He also had an OPS of 1.086, which includes an on-base percentage of .493 and a slugging percentage of .593.

Luke Holman has been a dominant arm for the Tigers all season. Through four starts, Holman has not given up a run in 24 innings pitched with 40 strikeouts.

This week, the Tigers play North Dakota State for two games during the midweek before facing off against Mississippi State for a three game series over the weekend.
