By Baron Dionis
6th Seed : Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs have been very surprising this season, which has translated in them being a sixth seed in the tournament. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 39-14 record, with a conference record of 17-13.
Home runs have been the theme of the season for Georgia. They have set program history and their star, Charlie Condon, has broken the BBCOR era home run record. They are second in the Southeastern Conference in team home runs with 140. They are just behind Tennessee, who has 141.
Condon is having a historic season and it is leading Georgia this season. Through 53 games, Condon has a batting average of .451 with 35 home runs and 75 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.630, which includes an on-base percentage of .567 and a slugging percentage of 1.063.
Corey Collins is another guy who is having a great season for the Bulldogs. This season, Collins has a batting average of .361 with 18 home runs and 52 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.391, which includes an on-base percentage of .586 and a slugging percentage of .805.
The Bulldogs pitching staff has not been great this season as they have a team earned run average of 5.58 with an opponent batting average of .257 and a WHIP of 1.50. This has been their weakest spot on the team and if they want to make a run in the entire postseason, their pitching must step up.
Georgia's first game will be on Tuesday morning against LSU.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have been very good this season, but barely missed the cut for a first round bye in the SEC Tournament. They finished the season with a 36-19 record, with a conference record of 17-13.
The Bulldogs have been very good with their pitching staff and offense. Their pitching staff is led by ambidextrous starter, Jurrangelo Cijntje. This season, Cijntje has an 8-1 record with a 3.48 earned run average in 77.2 innings pitched and has struck out 98 batters.
