Faizon Brandon is the number two industry ranked quarterback according to On3 for the class of 2026, and he has now committed to the University of Tennessee. Brandon is six foot three inches and 195 pounds out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Brandon chose the Volunteers over in-state power four program, NC State who was projected to be one of the other top schools in the running for the five-star product. Brandon took six visits to the Wolfpack and five to the Volunteers, with only two each to Alabama and Florida State. It is clear from these counts alone that these were by far the top two schools for him.

Why did Faizon Brandon commit to the Tennessee Volunteers?

“I started feeling Tennessee a while ago,” Brandon told On3. “The staff recruited me hard from the get-go.” Recruiting any player from the beginning often times is not a bad thing as that player will be put more trust in the school, and therefore a stronger chance to commit. It seems like that came into play here with Brandon.

“It just felt like home. From the beginning, I liked it a lot at Tennessee…I kept getting a good feeling every time I was there,” Faizon said.

Greensboro, North Carolina to Knoxville, Tennessee is a four hour drive, so the fact that Brandon made the trek over and over again lines up with his statement about it feeling like home.

What are Faizon Brandon’s high school stats?

Brandon started as a sophomore this past season for Grimsley High School and threw for 3,026 yards, 36 touchdowns and three interceptions completing 69% of his passes. With two seasons of high school to go, these numbers should only get better. The sky seems to be the limit for this prospect and the Tennessee quarterback room.
