Last off-season, the Texas A&M Aggies picked up a star in the transfer portal. According to MLB Pipeline, Braden Montgomery is fifth best prospect for this years MLB Draft.
This season, Montgomery has a batting average of .365 with 23 home runs and 73 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.361, which includes an on-base percentage of .502 and a slugging percentage of .859.
Montgomery also has 62 total hits, 13 doubles, and a triple. He also has 44 walks and 40 strikeouts, which is very impressive. Montgomery was a big time prospect from Stanford and he has gotten even better with the Aggies.
Montgomery currently ranks third in division one baseball in runs batted in, fourth in home runs, and eighth in slugging percentage.
