Jerrae “Tank” Hawkins (WR, Florida)

Tank is not built like a Tank, but his speed is electrifying. The IMG Academy product from Wheeling West Virginia is a true freshman for the Gators this season. Watch for him to be immediately inserted into the slot position for the Gators, giving wide receivers Euguene “Tre” Wilson III and Elijah Badger more of a chance to catch some deep passes.

Last year, Wilson III was used a lot in the short passing game due to the Gators’ lack of depth at the position. The acquisition of Badger through the portal and Hawkins now on campus makes the Gators a lot stronger across the board at receiver than folks are giving them credit for.

Taylen Green (QB, Arkansas)

The Boise State transfer quarterback has been catching offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino’s
eye since Petrino’s days at Missouri State and took the reigns pretty immediately for the Razorbacks at the start of spring practice.

The six foot six inch Green threw for 452 yards and accounted for six total touchdowns in his final two games for the Broncos last season.

With a talented cast of pass catchers including returning leading 2023 wide receiver Andrew Armstrong and tight end Luke Hasz, the Hogs and Green will surprise some folks with Petrino calling the plays in 2024.
