Dalton Knecht (Guard - Tennessee)

The 2024 SEC Player of the Year, Tennessee's Dalton Knecht is also likely set to be a top-10 pick on Wednesday.

Simply put, Knecht can score. He can create his own shot, but he works well off-ball as well. At 6'6, I believe that Knecht will likely be a Shooting Guard at the next-level, with the ability to slide over to Point Guard or Small Forward in spurts depending on lineups.

As a 38% career 3-point shooter in college, that is likely his top trait. Although he is not "just" a 3-point shooter. He can score in other ways as well, and does a good job attacking the basket.

A limiting factor to Knecht's potential is that he is already 23-years old (older than a lot of current NBA players). There are also concerns over Knecht's defense.

Knecht averaged 21.7 PPG and 4.9 RPG while shooting 45.8% from the field and 39.7% from three this year for the Vols. This is after a strong season in his final year at Northern Colorado where he averaged 20.2 PPG and 7.2 RPG on 47.9% FG% and 38.1% 3P% in 2022/23.

All-in-all, I think Knecht can be a quality bucket-getter in the NBA, but exactly at what level he can do so we will have to wait and see.

I believe Knecht will go anywhere between picks 6 and 10
