Wide Receiver's to Emerge in the SEC in 2024

Spring games have mostly concluded, and all teams are well into their spring practices at this point. Throughout the off season, we have picked up tea leaves from coaches and seen highlights of players in practice that can lead us to speculate who may emerge at the wide receiver position in the SEC for 2024. In this article, I predict who I think may emerge at the position based on information I have gleaned and highlights I have seen.

Cam Coleman (Auburn)

Since he arrived on the Plains, Coleman has done nothing but impress in fall camp for the Auburn Tigers.

Coleman was the number two rated wide receiver nationally for the class of 2023 according to On3.

At this point, in year two under Hugh Freeze, the Auburn Tigers are arguably still in a rebuild, which should allow the former Central High School standout early playing time.

Mike Matthews (Tennessee)

Matthews was a huge recruit for Josh Heupel as part of his 2023 recruiting class as the number 26 prospect and sixth rated wide receiver nationally according to On3.

Matthews has not disappointed in spring practice and had an impressive spring game for the Vols as well.

Watch for Matthews to get on the field early for the Vols and to connect consistently with quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
