“Leonard Fournette is the best running back in the SEC since Herschel Walker.”
“Leonard Fournette is running away with the Heisman and I don’t see how anybody catches him.”
My oh my. How quickly things can change in the world of sports. Just last week, Leonard Fournette’s game against Alabama was a set back and Dak Prescott presented a threat to end Alabama’s championship run. We were questioning the validity of Derrick Henry’s 200 yard rushing games and we were basically begging for anyone to take the spotlight away from the current next great Alabama running back.
Well. Sorry. That just isn’t happening, bud.
Throw your words, your sticks and your stones at Derrick Henry. I promise it won’t hurt him. The man is on a mission and I’m not sure that he can be stopped. On the other hand, if these past 2 weeks were a punch in the mouth to Leonard Fournette’s Heisman chances, then his Heisman chances are Ronda Rousey. Yes, Fournette looked untouchable. Yes, Fournette looked like the best running back in the nation. Yes, Fournette looked like a lock to win the Heisman.
