Aside from the SEC Championship, national signing day is the biggest day of the year for many SEC football fans.

It isn’t hyperbole to say that SEC Championships are won on national signing day.  Alabama has dominated the conference, and nation, in recruiting since Alabama has arrived in Tuscsaloosa.  I think we all know how that has played out so far.

Several SEC football teams are poised to challenge Alabama for the title of recruiting king this year, however, as Alabama currently sits 5th.  Yes, 5th in the conference.  Not 5th in the country.

Let’s take a quick-hits style look at where each SEC football team currently stands on the recruiting trail as we are just weeks away from national signing day.

For the top 5 teams in SEC football, we’ll give you a breakdown of the players the team is signing according to 247sports.com and the caliber of players they have committed.  We’ll also tell you who each team’s best prospect is at this point.  We’ll also catch you up on where the rest of the teams rank as well.
