The SEC isn’t necessarily known as a basketball “powerhouse” but the SEC proves time and time again that it is not to be underestimated. Nationally, the college basketball world is as unstable as it has ever been in regards to teams and their rankings.

Is it the new rules? Is it because the one and done type players aren’t as good as they have in years past? I don’t think anyone has an absolute answer, but in this year of parody, the SEC has not been spared. In my first SEC Basketball Power Rankings, even I was surprised at who I put at number 1. Additionally, I couldn’t solve the enigma that is Kentucky.
