Week Six of SEC Football looks like it will be a good one. Auburn travels to Starkville for a pivotal SEC West showdown. Then in the afternoon, Tennessee squares off against Texas A&M. Also in the afternoon, Vanderbilt plays at Kentucky.

Then, in the evening, Alabama travels to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. And finally, Georgia plays at South Carolina on Sunday afternoon. Every single game looks like it will be compelling.

Tennessee at A&M is obviously the game of the week. Both have looked like SEC title contenders thus far in the season. However, one of them may get exposed this weekend. Meanwhile, the Auburn Mississippi State game will help sort out positioning in the SEC West.

Then there’s the Vandy at Kentucky game. That should help sort out the bottom of the SEC East. And of course the Alabama game is ripe with upset potential? Can the Hogs pull it off? We shall see.

Even with so many compelling games, the weekend would have been even more captivating if Mother Nature hadn’t gotten in the way. Hurricane Matthew caused the game between Florida and LSU to be postponed indefinitely. It is a shame on multiple levels. We at Southbound and Down certainly hope that all of our readers in the affected areas are safe.

With all of that said, it is time to give you our “Three Things to Watch For” this week. As you can guess, these are the three biggest storylines of the week, that you should keep an eye on. Without any further ado, here is number three!
