With the Duke Blue Devils just having been crowned the NCAA basketball champions for the 2014-15 season, what better time to make predictions for next season than now?
Well, that’s what online oddsmaker Bovada thinks.
In their most recent list of basketball futures, they have given odds on a large number of teams to win the championship next season. Who do they have sitting on top?
Believe it or not, the North Carolina Tar Heels at 6/1 odds to win it all.
Here’s where teams from the SEC fall on their list of odds.
No. 2 – Kentucky Wildcats (8/1)
No. 14 – Arkansas Razorbacks (33/1)
No. 23 – Florida Gators (50/1)
No. 25 – LSU Tigers (50/1)
No. 30 – Texas A&M Aggies (50/1)
No. 43 – Georgia Bulldogs (75/1)

(No odds given for Mississippi State Bulldogs at time of this publication)
Twelve other teams are saddled with the 300/1 longshot that the Gamecocks have, including USC, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
It will be interesting to see if the odds on Kentucky drop when and if certain players announce their intention to enter the NBA draft, and if head coach John Calipari were to follow them for another shot in the professional ranks.
