This December will mark three years since the SEC claimed a Heisman Winner. With the league losing a national title game and in the first round of the College Football Playoff, they now are fighting to put any sort of hardware back on the southeastern shelves. A player from the SEC West has won the Heisman Trophy three times in the last six seasons, impressive to say the least. Not a lot of bets have been placed on SEC candidates to win the prestigious award this year, but there are a few names who could surprise some people out of the western side of college football’s preeminent conference.
