Prediction
Under the leadership of Marquise Williams, the North Carolina Tar Heels come out hot on offense. Connor Mitch and the offense struggle early, but Pharoh Cooper and Deebo Samuel turn up the heat for Spurrier’s offense in the second half. College Football’s first game is a good ole’ shootout that turns into an overtime classic. The Gamecocks lost a lot of close games in ’14, and in week one the ball finally rolls Spurrier’s way in this one.
South Carolina 38, North Carolina 35
