Walmart Releases their own ‘Spirit Top 25’
While the AP has their own popular Top 25 Poll, Walmart has decided to get in on the action. Walmart does not claim to be the top expert in college football; their poll used completely different criteria. Additionally, their results do not result in what they believe to be the Top 25 teams.

Instead, Walmart’s poll was designed to rank the Top 25 ‘most spirited’ college fan bases. Depending on your fan allegiance, most people will likely not be surprised with the results of the list. The list is nearly halfway filled with 12 SEC teams and programs with national followings.
Sales from team affiliated general merchandise was tallied and attributed to each team. These are not the result of football-only merchandise sales, which explains the presence of basketball heavy programs on the list.
