Prediction
I like the Gators in this game. What’s not to like? A top-tier defense is backed by a ten-game winning streak against division rival Tennessee. They have the Vols’ number, while 90,000 blue-clad fans and Jim McElwain are looking to kick off their SEC home campaign in fashion.
Scratch that. Tennessee may have large inconsistencies, but all streaks end one day. How long has it been since the Vols have recorded a signature win? Let’s just say it’s been awhile. The Vols’ can keep the Gators offense at bay, but they’ll need to score a few points to win this one.
While we like the Gators, Southbound and Down is picking Tennessee in a defensive slugfest.
