Week 7 is in the books, and that means many teams around the SEC have less than half of their regular season games remaining.  Before we jump forward to the top SEC games, let’s briefly recap a few games from week 7.

More from SEC Football

First off, we’ll start with the two Mississippi schools.  Mississippi State started slow out of the gate, but ending up going on a tear against Louisiana Tech.  Ole Miss, on the other hand, was throttled at the hands of Memphis in Liberty Bowl Stadium after a hot start in the game.  Ole Miss appears to be taking a nose dive at arguably the worst time of the season.

Alabama dismantled Texas A&M in College Station and Auburn found a way on Thursday night against Kentucky.  LSU and Florida squared off in the week’s primetime game.  LSU continues to mow down the competition, but a battle awaits the Tigers in Tuscaloosa soon.

This week, Auburn and Arkansas kickoff early.  Which program takes a step forward toward rectifying a season that has thus far been vastly disappointing for both?  It’s the third Saturday in October, so of course that means the Crimson Tide and the Volunteers are kicking off.  Will the Tide overlook Butch Jones’s bunch?  In Oxford, two programs with a much needed boost of confidence will go at it.  The Rebels are on the verge of losing it all, while the Aggies look to respond from a brutal game against Alabama.  Will the Wildcats be able to knock off a steady Mississippi State bunch in Starkville?  Go inside for much more on all the upcoming games to see in week 8.
