Prediction
Throw out the records and what we’ve seen from both of these teams up to this point. In a rivalry as storied as Florida-Georgia, anything can (and typically does) happen.
These two teams won’t need any outside motivation when playing each other; there’s true passion buried in the roots of the Peach and Sunshine State for this rivalry. Add in the hefty implications to that drama and this should be an absolute slugfest.
The Gators’ stout defense will be able to effectively slow down the Bulldogs’ Nick Chubb-less rush offense, forcing Lambert to try to win the game with his arm. The problem is, Lambert has been wildly inconsistent thus far. Considering he’ll be facing the best defense he’s seen yet, UGA’s sign-caller will need to post the best game of his career if his team is to pull the upset.

But that’s not likely. Not against a team as good as Florida.
Simply put, the Gators’ defense is too dominant to not manhandle an offense as one-dimensional as the Dawgs’.
The Florida Gators win a close one in Jacksonville and will be one game away from clinching the SEC East.
