Last week Florida took control of the Eastern Division race and all but assured the world they will play in Atlanta for the conference championship. Did the Gators put the final nail in Mark Richt’s coffin at Georgia?
Tennessee embarrassed Kentucky at home under the lights. Are the Vols poised to make a strong run to the finish?
Ole Miss did enough to put Auburn away inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Rebels still control their own destiny in conference play (more on that later), but is it a group of Rebels against the entire SEC now?
Texas A&M got back on the winning track against South Carolina and Arkansas racked up huge offensive numbers (and gave up huge numbers on defense) against UT-Martin.
Vanderbilt regressed back to its normal self against a surprisingly good Houston team.
Week 9 in the SEC was intriguing, but week 10 will take things to another level. In the West, the division is still up for grabs and it’s anyone’s guess as to who will play Florida in a month. Alabama and LSU play Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

An Alabama loss practically eliminates the Crimson Tide from Division contention. An LSU loss puts the Tigers in must-win mode moving forward. Ole Miss entertains Arkansas at home on CBS. Ole Miss is in must-win mode now, and has been for weeks. Mississippi State takes a Thursday night trip to Columbia, MO to test the Missouri defense and see about keeping the Missouri offense down. Auburn and Texas A&M meet in College Station in what has to be a “who wants it more” type game. Over in the East, the drama is a little harder to come by. Florida and Vanderbilt play early in Gainesville, while Kentucky travels to Georgia wondering what they’ll get from the Bulldogs.
