Same story, different season: the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide compete for SEC West supremacy this Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Last week, the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs met in Jacksonville, Fla. to ultimately decide the SEC East champion.
This week, it’s first place in the West that’s on the line when the No. 2-ranked LSU Tigers travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide. Though it must be pointed out that Ole Miss does still control it’s own destiny in the SEC West.

LSU and Alabama have been arguably the two best teams in the SEC thus far, posting a combined conference record of 8-1. A win would make either program the presumed favorite to represent the West in the SEC championship game, along with potentially solidifying a top four ranking.
