Brandon Allen, QB, Arkansas

– It would take an overtime period to decide whether or not the Arkansas Razorbacks could take down Ole Miss in Oxford, on Saturday. Thanks to a two-point conversion by quarterback Brandon Allen, the Hogs improved to 3-2 in the SEC and took down the Rebels (winning 53-52).

Besides the penalty on Ole Miss that allowed Arkansas a second chance to take the game-winning 2-pt. conversion, the thing that stood out the most in this game was how Arkansas got to such a high point total.

More from SEC Football

It was all because of Brandon Allen. The senior completed 33 of his 45 passing attempts for 442 yards and six touchdowns. Thats right, six.

Arkansas had two different receivers with over 100 yards in this game and are looking to play spoiler in the final three weeks of the season. Every SEC football game Arkansas has played this year has been close and I think they’ll go into their games against LSU and Mississippi State with a chip on their shoulders. Look out for the Hogs.

Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State

– No stranger to the Best and Worst list is the highly praised and equally as criticized Dak Prescott, Mississippi State’s quarterback. I don’t know why teams haven’t been able to figure out this dual threat QB, but credit that to Prescott and Mississippi State.

Thursday night when Mississippi State took on Missouri in Columbia, surely some of the Tigers’ players might have been elsewhere given the situation at their university that they helped start over the weekend.

Either way, Mississippi State was the obvious favorite in this match up and they showed why.

Prescott went 27-for-40 and threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns.

He also added 47 yards on the ground, the highest rushing total for any member on the Bulldogs roster against Mizzou.

Prescott mainly kept his eyes locked on two targets, wide receivers Fred Ross and De’Runnya Wilson.  They combined to haul in three of Prescott’s touchdown tosses and were responsible for over 200 yards of offense.

Mississippi State plays Alabama in week 11 and look for Prescott to be on the other half of this list following Saturday.

Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

– Speaking of the Crimson Tide.  In their week 10 battle of Top-5 teams with LSU, Alabama’s defense stopped Leonard Fournette repeatedly in his tracks.  Instead they insisted on allowing the eyes of fans that were looking to be amazed by Bama running back Derrick Henry.

Henry carried the ball 38 times for the Tide and carried them to a 30-16 victory at home over the Bayou Bengals.

Henry tallied three touchdowns and 210 yards in the win, showing that he should be in talks for the Heisman debate – not only the running back on the other side.

I think Henry will have another monster game in week 11 against Mississippi State and will be a huge reason the Tide win the SEC title game in Atlanta, Georgia, on Dec. 5 against Florida.

Honorable Mention:

Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn – returning to action from a stint on the bench for the Tigers, Johnson led his team to a 26-10 win over Texas A&M by throwing for 132 yards and a touchdown, completing 13 of his 17 passing attempts.

Now let’s look at who really disappointed fans across the country in week 11.
