Verdict
Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher is 4-1 against the Gators, including a 2-0 record against Florida in Gainesville.
But the Seminoles have never won three straight at Florida Field.
Florida should bounce back this weekend from a few lackluster efforts these past few weeks. With Alabama likely looming in the SEC championship game, Doug Nussmeier’s Gator offense is expected to a run a bit more efficiently than it has — regardless of how solid the Seminoles’ defense has played lately.
In addition, Florida’s defensive line will give Florida State’s offense fits all night.
This contest is likely going to be decided by a late turnover or a big special teams play. If that’s the case, Florida — with all the luck and intangibles in its favor — will somehow find a way to win like it has all season long.
The Gators further improve their chances at cracking the top four at the end of the season with a close home victory over their archrival from Tallahassee.
