SEC Football: 2015-16 Final Power Rankings (14-7)
10. Auburn
For all the accusations that Muschamp failed while at Auburn, his defense actually outperformed Malzahn’s inept offense. The D was good for 71st nationally (really bad), while the offense finished the offense ranked 94th nationally (completely inept). 2 wins in the conference and 4 nonconference wins aren’t outweighed by one solid performance in a bowl game. Auburn was bad this year.
9. Florida
This isn’t an evaluation of the entire season, this is an end of the season power ranking. Florida with an offense at full power dominated Ole Miss and won 38-10. The Gators embarrassed themselves down the stretch, including getting shutout by Florida State. Ok ok, the defense got a safety to give the Gators 2 points in the rivalry game.

8. Texas A&M
Remember when the Aggies started 5-0 and looked legit? Remember how they were supposed to challenge Alabama in a Top-10 matchups? I barely do. I’ve almost convinced myself I didn’t pick Texas A&M to win that game and embarrass myself. Both the offense and defense were mediocre, ranking 49th and 51st respectively.
7. Arkansas
If Arkansas would have been able to pull of a victory in their high scoring affair against Mississippi State, they would have ranked in the top half of the SEC power rankings after beginning the season 2-4 with losses to Toledo and Texas Tech. Instead the Razorbacks finished strong for the second year in a row but still finished outside the top half of the SEC in the power ranking.
Be on the lookout for teams 6-1, coming soon!
