More from Southbound and Down

There was a buzz about the 2015 Missouri team.  Sure they were picked to be underdogs, but that’s something they had over come the past couple of years.  Attendance was up roughly 7,000 in 2015 compared to 2014.  The year didn’t go according to plan to say the least.  Gary Pinkel retired, and the football team ended its season involved in social issues on campus while videos of their embattled quarterback allegedly doing lines of coke at a party.

Now, it is back to football, and it will be interesting to see what this team looks like under new head coach Barry Odom.  They made the hire from within by promoting Odom from his defensive coordinator position.  The problem with Missouri has not been the defense.  Their offense has looked horrendous.  With the troubled Maty Mauk no longer on the team, it is going to be interesting to see who steps up at the quarterback position.  Can someone set themselves apart as early as this spring?
