Texas A&M:  Texas A&M Spring Game

2015 attendance:  N/A

The 2014 and 2015 spring games were closed down due to construction work being done at Kyle Field.  According to saturdaydownsouth.com, attendance numbers saw a “significant decline” since the last spring game in 2013.

The quarterback woes of the Aggies this past offseason are well documented.  Going into last season, 5-star quarterback Kyler Murray was supposed to be the best thing since Johnny Football.  He was beat out by another former 5-star recruit Kyle Allen.  By this spring, both had left the program and we were all wondering what was going on at Texas A&M.

Insert graduate transfer Trevor Knight who completed 25 of his 36 passes for 282 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception.  Texas A&M is going from young, promising players trying to fill the quarterback position to a seasoned veteran that has proven he can play.  We’ve seen Kevin Sumlin’s work with quality quarterbacks, and Christian Kirk and company provide a plethora of options at wide receiver.   If the defense can continue to improve, maybe Texas A&M can live up to expectations.
