LSU:  National L-Club Spring Game

Sat. April 16, 4 p.m.

SEC Network

2015 Attendance:  Estimated 15,000

This will be interesting to watch and many eyes will be on LSU this spring to see how the team looks.  We all know that Les Miles barely survived a tumultuous series of events that seemed to be leading to his demise.  Instead, in Les Miles-like fashion, his team came back and finished strong to save the coach’s job.  We know Leonard Fournette will be great.  We know the defense will be strong, fast and stingy.  We also know that if the passing game doesn’t improve, this will probably be Les Miles’s last year as the head coach in Baton Rouge.

Feliepe Franks was supposed to be the incoming recruit to save the quarterback position at LSU but his change of heart, and decision to play at Florida has left LSU hurting again.  As of now, Brandon Harris seems to be leading Purdue transfer Danny Etling in the quarterback battle.  Les Miles has made it clear that he wants to pass the ball at a 50 percent clip this year, and has vowed a renewed focus on the passing game this offseason.  If he holds true to his word, we should see a lot more plays going through the air this spring, and that’ll be interesting to see.  Not only is it important for the team’s future, but the future of Les Miles and future health of Leonard Fournette are dependent on an improved passing game this year.
