Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss Coaches Admitting Their Guilt?
"I view Hugh Freeze as straight-laced and as good hearted as they come in the SEC coaching world, but the latest story reported by clarionledger.com has all but sealed the fate of the Ole Miss coaching staff in the court of public opinion."
As most people know, Laremy Tunsil and his stepfather Lindsey Miller don’t have the best of relationships. Currently, Lindsey Miller is active in suing Laremy Tunsil in a defamatation lawsuit case and this is calling for some of the coaches’ involvement, including Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze. Now, Hugh freeze and company had their lawyers asking for protections as it relates to what questions will be asked and how they will be asked.
Listen. I view Hugh Freeze as straight-laced and as good-hearted as they come in the SEC coaching world, but the latest story reported by clariodledger.com has all but sealed the fate of the Ole miss coaching staff in the court of public opinion. I’m not saying that it is fair, and I’m not saying that those crying foul are 100 percent correct, but………it ain’t lookin’ good.

According to the article, there were requests to depose the offensive line coach Matt Luke, head coach Hugh Freeze, and assistant athletic director of operations John Miller. The article noted that the lawyers of Hugh Freeze and John Miller had requested that there be restrictions on the deposition at hand. Freeze’s lawyers went as far as to ask that the deposition be done in written form, and the questions only relate to the conversations Freeze and Tunsil had in regards to the fight Tunsil got into with his stepfather.
I mean, legally, that is definitely the right thing to do in order to stay out of trouble, but what kind of damage could it do to Ole Miss in the court of public opinion? I’d say nothing as long as they keep winning, but then again, before Laremy Tunsil, I’d never seen a top draft prospect’s bong video appear on their twitter 10 minutes before the draft.
