Analysis

Let’s get one thing straight: This is one of the BEST classes in the country. So, shoutout to new head coach Kirby Smart and his staff for starting things off on a good note with the Georgia Bulldogs football program.

The Dawgs made waves this past weekend, adding two talented recruits at The Opening (RB Toneil Carter and OT Andrew Thomas).

Now, let’s break down the actual talent.

Jake Fromm, in my opinion, is a bonafide five-star quarterback. He’s methodical in the way he approaches the game. He stands at a respectable 6’2.5″. He has the arm strength of a 6-foot-5, 240 pound gunslinger.

Robert Beal is a bonafide monster at defensive end, but he has the ability to be an excellent outside linebacker at the next level. Regardless, of where he plays, Beal will make an impact. He has been recovering from an injury, but should have a productive final year at the IMG Academy, in Bradenton, Fla.

My personal favorite recruit in this class is corner Latavious Brini. I followed him closely when the Miami Hurricanes were recruiting him, and he has an excellent build for a corner. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound DB can matchup with any wide receiver in the SEC East. He’s a ball hawk, and is incredibly physical.

Anyone who wants to play running back should start considering UGA. Looking at this list of commitments, they have some absolute monsters up front who want to take their talents to Athens. I did the math, adding up the heights and weights of the four lineman who are verbally committed to UGA… the average size: 6-feet-4.75-inches, 333.25 lbs.

Let that sink in. Anybody toting the rock at Georgia will be running through holes the size of crater.
