Tre Douglas, like many others,  received an offer from the Gators this past weekend. The 3-Star CB from the Class Of 2018 sat down and answered some of my questions.

Tre Douglas is a coveted CB in the Class of 2018 currently with 5 standing offers and garnering major SEC interest. The kid from McDonough, GA, and Eagles Landing Christian Academy has great size for a DB at 6-2 180 pounds. I asked him some questions, here were his answers.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: First things first I’d like to congratulate you on your offer from Florida ! It is a prestigious offer for a big time player! Mind if I ask some questions?

Tre Douglas: Ask away aha.

More from Florida Gators

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down:  Thank you haha. With your recent tweet, I can tell you acknowledge the success of past and current Gator DB’s… How does that make you feel to have received an offer from them as a DB yourself?

Tre Douglas: It’s a huge accomplishment for me but I have to remain humble and keep working my tail off.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down:  Always! Humility is key! Is there anything that stands out about Florida from any other schools that you are interested in or are interested in you?

Tre Douglas: I love the DB coach Torian Gray.  Also ITS DEFENSIVE BACK UNIVERSITY. I’ll be a part of a legacym

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Yes! Coach Gray is phenomenal at what he does!

Without a doubt – with guys like Joe Haden, Hargreaves and more coming through the ranks – it’s hard to object.

Are you currently garnering any interest from any other SEC schools? Or just currently Florida?

Tre Douglas: Auburn is looking at me and so is Tennessee. Mississippi St. and Kentucky are on me pretty hard as well.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: That must be a great feeling as a recruit! What are your goals for your upcoming Junior season?

Tre Douglas: I have to have a very strong junior in order to maintain this offer, which I plan to do.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Without a doubt! What is your favorite aspect of your game?

Tre Douglas: Honestly, watching wide receivers and how they run their routes so I can be prepared when I go against them.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down:  Not a bad trait! It starts in the film room! Last question. Could we see a commitment anytime soon or you think you will wait out your Junior season?

Tre Douglas: I will further discuss it with my family but as of now, I think I will weigh my options after my Junior year.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Take your time! I appreciate your time and will share the column with you when it is out!

Tre Douglas: Yes sir thank you.

Douglas definitely has a good head on his shoulders and I am exciting to see what is to come from this kid. You can check out his highlight tape below.
