Who is this QB from Old Bridge, NJ many have been saying after Artur Sitkowski lit up Florida’s QB camp this past Thursday. I got a chance to sit down with him and ask him some football and personal related questions.

Sitkowski is a 6-4 215 pound QB from Old Bridge, NJ. The 4-Star QB is the 4th ranked Pro-Style QB in the Class Of 2018 and 71st ranked overall player. The touted QB recruit has over a dozen offers with more and more interested heading his way. I asked him some questions and he was kind enough to respond, so here they are.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: First off I would like to congratulate you on your offer from the Gators. I am from the Jersey area myself and you have to be something truly special to get an offer like that.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Now I know you have a plethora of offers, but what does this Gators one mean to you? Any special meaning that sets it out from the rest?

More from Florida Gators

Artur Sitkowski: Thank you but I haven’t officially been offered yet. I have to call the coaches tomorrow.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Oh Okay. If that Florida offer were to be put on the table does it have any special meaning? Any family from Florida?

Artur Sitkowski: Yes it would be huge for me as my aunt lives in Florida.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Sounds like she would enjoy you being down in the Ville’. Have any memories of ever watching the Gators growing up? Maybe even attending a game?

Artur Sitkowski: Yes I actually attended a game when I was 13 when they were versing FSU.  Also, a memory is when Tim Tebow was playing and he won a championship in ’08.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: That’s awesome! Definitely some fond memories of mine as well! Even in your short time in Florida, is there anything in particular you liked about their coaching staff? Something they did that stood out?

Artur Sitkowski: Definitely that coach Mac and Coach Nuss have the experience coaching QBs. Also the people on campus and how conformable I am on campus.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: That’s for sure something you always want to have as a player! Coaches you trust and an environment you are comfortable in! If the Florida offer would present itself, would they become immediate contenders for your talents?

Artur Sitkowski: Yes.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Last question. Could you see you continuing your football career in Gainesville come the summer of 2018?

Artur Sitkowski: Yes definitely. Florida is high on my list.

Nick Gonzalez, Southbound and Down: Sounds good. Thank you for your time! I wish you the best of luck in your process! I may even come out to a game of yours this season, if so I will let you know!

Artur Sitkowski: Awesome thank you sir. I’m looking forward to it.
