Why It’s on the List: Because it has huge implications in the SEC West race

The rivalry between Ole Miss and LSU has lost some of its luster over the years. This is due in large part to the ascendance of LSU to a national power under Nick Saban. The rivalry became somewhat lopsided in LSU’s favor, although Ole Miss almost always played the Tigers close.

But now with the arrival of Hugh Freeze in Oxford the rivalry has heated up again. This season, most experts expect Ole Miss, LSU, or Alabama to win the SEC West. So obviously this edition of the Magnolia Bowl, as the rivalry is named, will be a very important one. So how do the two teams stack up?
