It’s finally here, ladies and gentleman. After months of poor replacements, the first week of college football has arrived (Cal-Hawaii doesn’t count for obvious reasons). And what’s the reward for our patience? Why only the greatest opening weekend in college football history! And with the start of the season, the SEC once again finds itself in the spotlight as the nation’s best conference.

However, that title could be quickly taken away with a poor opening weekend as Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss all compete in intriguing out of conference match-ups. Can the SEC retain its spot on the top of the mountain, or will another conference make a stake for the top spot with a big opening weekend? Without further ado, let’s jump right in with some predictions for the week.
