3. Are the Hogs for Real?

Last week we asked if Texas A&M was for real. They proved that they were against the Auburn Tigers. This week the Aggies face another tough test against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas is undefeated, with a win over TCU. But are the Hogs a real threat in the SEC West this season? I’m not so sure.

Austin Allen has looked good. So has Rawleigh Williams. And the Hog defense has looked like a tenacious bunch. Nevertheless, the Hogs haven’t played against a team as talented as Texas A&M yet this year. The Aggies have looked dominant so far this year. I currently have them as the number two team in the Southbound and Down SEC Football Power Poll.

The Hogs have their work cut out for them this week. But if they can come up with a win, the Hogs will have only Alabama as a realistic threat to their SEC West title. Unfortunately, I don’t think the Hogs have what it takes to win this game. I think A&M is just too strong on both sides of the ball. I expect the Hogs to play hard and make it a close game. But ultimately I think the Aggies will prevail.
