Week Four of SEC Football proved to be an exciting one. Auburn toppled LSU at home. The Bayou Bengals appeared to have won the game with no time remaining, but after review, the officials decided that they didn’t get the play snapped before time expired. It was a heartbreaking LSU loss that led to the, alleged, firing of Les Miles.

Elsewhere around the SEC there were a few cupcakes to be had. Alabama mauled Kent State behind the running of Jalen Hurts and Joshua Jacobs. The Tide defense was dominant as usual, holding the Golden Flashes to zero points on the day. Mississippi State got all they wanted from UMass before Nick Fitzgerald and company pulled away late.

In Columbia, Missouri beat Delaware State so bad that they decided to shorten the quarter lengths in the second half. In-conference cupcake Vanderbilt shocked the world by beating Western Kentucky in overtime by one point. Good for you Vanderbilt.

And finally, in a battle of conference foes, Kentucky got the win against South Carolina. Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has evidently realized that leaning on Boom Williams is the best strategy for his offense. The Wildcats have now won back to back games.
