Another fantastic week of SEC Football is behind us. Below you will find our impressions from this week’s games. There were several intriguing matchups. Be sure to share your own impressions of them in the comments below. Off we go!

Alabama:

  • Jalen Hurts has to throw the ball better. He has to. Otherwise Alabama won’t reach the heights they’re capable of.
  • The Tide defense remains filthy, though the loss of Eddie Jackson is a big one.
  • Adam Griffith is consistently inconsistent.

Arkansas:

  • The Hog offensive line got embarrassed by Auburn’s defensive line. They couldn’t establish the run and they couldn’t protect Austin Allen.
  • Similarly, the Hog defensive front got mauled as well. Auburn racked up over 500 yards rushing on the night.

Auburn:

  • I’m still not convinced that Sean White is a great quarterback, but he doesn’t need to be if Auburn can run the ball like they did last night.
  • Kamryn Pettway is a tough, talented running back.
  • The Tiger defense played lights-out. It was something to see.

Florida:

  • The Gators had a bye week.

Georgia:

  • The Bulldogs also had a bye week.

Kentucky:

  • Stephen Johnson actually had a decent day throwing the football.
  • The Wildcats have a legit 1-2 punch at running back.
  • The defense still has a long way to go.

LSU:

Mississippi State:

Missouri:

More from SEC Football

  • Drew Lock has to be more accurate. He completed just 50 percent of his passes in this one.
  • The Tigers had a good day running the football. Damarea Crockett and Ish Witter both ran for more than 100.
  • The defense is atrocious. Giving up 51 points to Middle Tennessee State is simply ridiculous.

Ole Miss:

  • Chad Kelly did not play up to his usual lofty standards. He threw for just one touchdown along with two interceptions.
  • The Ole Miss run defense is a lot softer than they were a year ago.
  • The Ole Miss rushing offense is equally ineffective, however.

South Carolina:

  • The Gamecocks may have finally found the answer at quarterback. Freshman Jake Bentley looks legit.
  • Deebo Samuel is finally starting to break out.
  • Freshman Rico Dowdle is a talented young running back.

Tennessee:

The Volunteers had a bye week.

Texas A&M:

Vanderbilt:

  • Ralph Webb went off despite getting just 9 carries.
  • Khari Blasingame looks to be entrenched as Webb’s primary backup.
  • Kyle Shurmur was quietly effective in this one.
