Week Eight of SEC Football is officially in the books. That means it’s time for us to take a look back at our three things we watched for this week. Without further ado, let’s just dive right in.

3. Who Prevails? Auburn’s Defense or Arkansas’s Offense?

Auburn’s defense prevailed, and in a big way. They held the potent Arkansas attack to just three points. That’s insane. The Auburn defensive front dominated the Razorback offensive line. The Tigers have one of the top defenses in the entire country this season.

Perhaps even more impressively, the much maligned Tiger offense dominated the Razorback defense. Kamryn Pettway was an unstoppable wrecking ball. If Auburn can continue to play like this on both sides of the ball, then there is only one team left on the schedule that they should fear.

2. Can Coach O Lead the Tigers to Another Win?

He sure can. LSU leaned heavily on the running game and it worked incredibly well. Leonard Fournette was too big, too fast, and too physical for the Ole Miss defensive front to handle. Now the Tigers have a week off before they face Alabama? Can Fournette redeem himself after he disappeared in Tuscaloosa a season ago? The SEC Football world will be eagerly awaiting its chance to find out.

1.  Who is the Best Team in the SEC?

It’s Alabama. That shouldn’t surprise anyone after the Tide thumped the Texas A&M Aggies this weekend. The Tide ran the ball at will and limited the mighty Aggy offense to just 14 points. The Tide still have a couple of tough tests ahead, in the forms of LSU and Auburn.

However, if the Tide play like they are capable of, nobody on the schedule has a realistic shot at toppling them. The Tide should cruise to a third straight SEC title and a berth in the college football playoff.
