No. 10: Mississippi State Bulldogs

Song Title: Hail State

Contrary to what many may believe, Mississippi State’s fight song is not simply the endless “clanga” of a chorus of cowbells. The Bulldogs actual fight song is another throwback type tune which needs to simply be thrown back.

“Hit that line, tote that ball” almost makes you wait for “get a little drunk and you land in jail” (with all apologies to Kern and Hammerstein). Of course, there is the prerequisite repeated word, which in this case is the word “yell” unnecessarily sung four times in a row.

Like Kentucky, the passionate fans at Mississippi State need to petition the music department, board of regents and anyone else who might have a say into finding a new tune.
